Just finally got in and am starting to unwind... what a great night. Thanks so much to The Stand for inviting us out! Also, very mucho thanks for all our friends - "the firestarters" - who came out to State Theatre to help us tear the roof off the place! ;-) You guys are the ones who make what we do WORTH IT!! YOU GUYS truly are From This Fire!!

 

This will be the first major headlining show for THE STAND and with your help, the first of many. After opening for such bands as Sick Puppies, Hurt, Adelitas Way, Cage and even booking a gig with RATT, the powers that be has finally offered us an opportunity to showcase ourselves at the most renown venue a local band can aspire to play; the State Theatre.

 

We will be playing with some of the most popular bands in the area on the 6th. The most notable of which is The Dood, who is arguably the most popular band of the Sarasota area. The Distinguished Order Of Disobedience has been melting faces and turning heads since 2006. Since the release of their latest EP, The Dood has been playing all over Florida promoting it. They have had the opportunity to play with such bands as Neurotica, Crossbreed and Cold so they are no strangers to the stage.

Also sharing the stage will be another unsung local band from Clearwater; From This Fire, who has recently released their self titled debut album. You may remember From This Fire from the Sick Puppies show when they played with us. It was a night to remember and we would like to re-create the magic we all shared that night. Since the release of their album, they have enjoyed enormous success by earning radio play on our local radio station, 98 Rock.

Making their debut to the venue will be Sons of Vengeance. They are a Tampa based metal band of unparalleled style and sound. Sons of Vengeance recently won the Gorilla Productions Battle of the Bands and has now moved on to the national segment. Currently, they are in the final stages of recording their long awaited debut album and it should be available sometime next month.

Another band making their first, but long awaited appearance at State Theatre will be The Fight For the Crown who just recently has released their own self titled debut album as well. One of the best known bands in the Sarasota area, The Fight For the Crown is famous for thier amazing stage shows and catchy songs.

Be prepared for the best local show in recent years. All of the bands have extraordinary stage performances and tons of devoted followers.
